I got my Club Nintendo desk calendar today in the mail! I posted all the scans up on Infendo. CHECK IT OUT NOW!!!

I’ve been following the upcoming Thor movie with great anticipation, and this news is only excites me more. Anthony Hopkins has been cast to play Thor’s father, Odin. Sweeeet!

Nintendo announced today that they are releasing a new DSi, with 4.25″ screens. It also appears to come with a larger stylus. This would make the camera and picture-taking more appealing, but still…weird. Not too sure if I would buy this one or the normal DSi. As of right now, however, its only announced for Japan and Europe (where it will be known as the DSi XL). EDIT: It is now confirmed that the DSi XL will be arriving in North American in Q1 2010.
I would like to present to you fine people some awesome web comics I draw some inspiration from.
Guy in a Bush
Although still relatively new, Brian’s comic is totally rockin’. It is simple, clean fun and is quite consistent.
Extra Life
I’ve been following just about everything that Scott has been doing for about a year now, and it seems that he can do no wrong. Extra Life is a smattering of great art and hilarious quirky humor that never fails to impress. It is as random as it is creative, focusing on everything from geek culture to current events.
xkcd
This comic is the perfect reminder that writing is more important than art. The stick figures in this are so simplistic that it surrenders itself entire to the jokes involved (which happen to be some of the funniest jokes on the web).
Cyanide and Happiness
If you have not seen this gem, you have not yet lived. I once spent an entire afternoon going through their archives. Their overly offensive humor is something that is so shocking that it draws me back again and again. Cyanide and Happiness is my guilty pleasure.
Experience Points
Experience Points is, in my mind, the best comic on the internet. Its simple yet so profound. The character Vincent captures EXACTLY what it is like to be a gamer (Scott tends to focus his jokes around World of Warcraft), and his pet duck Steve is hilarious as well.

As Spider-Man 4 news and rumors continue to pour in, the biggest question on everyone’s mind is “Who is the villain?!” Well, today Superhero Hype! reported that Dylan Baker, who played Dr. Curt Connors in Spider-Man 2 and Spider-Man 3, has confirmed that he will be returning in his role for Spider-Man 4. [Source]
For those of you not familiar with the Spider-Man comic books, Dr. Curt Connors eventually became a gigantic lizard man (appropriately known as “The Lizard”) and gave Spidey a run for his money. Although this does not confirm, it does leave it a possibility. I would love that! I always love watching the rumors pour in as comic book movies approach production and release. Expect more news from the blog about various superhero movies in the future!
Got to drawing tonight after playing X-Box 360 with Max, my brother. This is what came of it. It is just shy of 1680 x 1050 and is currently my desktop wallpaper. Feel free to use it for the same if you like. Also, here is a video of the process if you so wish to indulge.

I have decided to turn the Villains Contest into a permanent part of the website in the form of a link at the top of the page. Want to have YOUR villain drawn? Click here for more information!

Dr. Acula, by Kyle Whitton
Congratulations to Kyle Whitton, the winner of the first ever Villains Contest!
“Dr. Acula, is the villians name he is very mysterious and people don’t know a lot about him. He sneaks away at night, he doesn’t tell anyone of his activities. Ok the real secret is that he is DRACULA. GET IT DR. ACULA.
Funny right!?!?!?!?!?!
common, its a start at least.”
Look for this frightening doctor during the upcoming Halloween arc! Look for the next Villains Contest, coming in the future!

Did you hear?! Spider-Man 4 is now slated for 2011. Its crazy how many great superhero movies are coming out within the next few years. Iron Man 2, Thor, Green Lantern, Captain America, Avengers, Deadpool and possibly another X-Men movie. Yeah, crazy. Anyways, if you want to read up on Spidey 4, here’s the link.
