I recently discovered a sweet set of daily avatars based on the Twitter default avatar done by @apelad on Twitter. I thought it would be cool to do a set of Team Jetpack 104 avatars as well, which I soon discovered is a lot hard than I originally thought. I’m going to rack my brain for some other ones, but I have renewed respect for @apelad. Anyhoot, enjoy.
FINALLY! Sorry for the wait, everyone. I finally sat down and pumped this comic out last night, and I have to say that it is one of my favorites to date. The background turned out really well, and I love how Tree Frog looks in the Propeller Suit. I struggled with how I was going to give Pakkoderm the Penguin Suit, and originally was going to have him with the Fire Flower, but over all I think it turned out awesome.
On a similar note, if any of you have a Wii and have not picked up New Super Mario Bros. Wii, DO IT! Its really an awesome game. I’m almost through the initial run through, and will be going back to get all of the coins, star coins, secrets, etc.
See you next week!

Thought you guys would like to check this out! I was recently interviewed for a Lethbridge-centric blog known as Lethbian Love, which incidentally is Jonathan Ruzek, who contributed the guest strip “Hit the Books.” We did the interview over Google Wave, and I think it turned out pretty well!

When I began this project, I severely underestimated both the amount of time I would have to invest in creating content, as well as how much school would distract me from creating said content (actually, the comic is distracting me from school, but anyways…). I’m currently working on getting Part 2 of the Multiplayer Mushroom Mayhem arc finished, and hereby promise to finish it before the end of the week. I might, yet again, change the posting schedule, but such is the life of a hobby cartoonist. Thanks for sticking around, everyone!
Guest Strip by Jonathan R. – Hit The Books
November 16th, 2009 | by ZackoAs midterms are still all upons, I present another guest strip this week! Let it be known that I love seeing my characters drawn in other people’s style. This comic has been a personal exercise in developing my artistic abilities, and seeing others’ interpretations of the characters just makes me glad I’m going this!
Thanks a ton to Jonathan Ruzek, who can be found over at his blog Lethbian Love, which covers local awesomeness for those of us in an around Lethbridge, AB. Also, check him out on Twitter (@jaruzek). If you would like to submit fan art or a guest strip, drop me a line at teamjetpack104@gmail.com.
This week, once again, is crazy with school, but I will be working hard to get a strip out by the end of the week. I hope to finish the Mario arc by the end of the month as to start my Christmas arc, which should be tons of fun. Thanks a ton to all the new visitors to the site, and I hope you’ll leave your comments and feedback. And, as always, tell your friends about TJ104 by clicking on the “Share This” button.

On November 15, New Super Mario Bros Wii launches, and I couldn’t be more excited! There’s something about this game that has completely captivated me, and I look forward to playing it. Its funny too, because I have never been super excited about a Mario game before, but this one for some reason is calling my name in all sorts of ways. Definately a day one purchase in my books.
Also, continue to watch the web comic as Dorgon, Tree Frog, and Pakkoderm battle their way through the Mushroom Kingdom, and discover where the heck Captain Amazing is! This is, after all, a four-player game!

New Super Mario Bros Wii comes out on the 15th, and I am PUMPED for it! In celebration, we’ll see how Pakkoderm, Dorgon, and Tree Frog deal with being sucked into the Mushroom Kingdom.
And where is Captain Amazing?! Stay tuned, young ones. You’ll find out soon enough!

Man oh man oh man. I am busy as all get out this week. School is officially going to kill me. Dead. Really. Just a heads up that I will try to have a comic up Wednesday or Thursday. Thanks for your understanding and patience. I’m really excited about the new arc coming up, in which the gang gets sucked into a video game! (the first time, but definately won’t be the last)

So today I was looking around and discovered (thanks to @jaruzek on Twitter) a great new way to do comments on the site: Disqus. You will now be able to comment on the comic with your Facebook or Twitter account, or your Disqus account if you have one of those.
Now, for the bad news: all previous comments on the comics and blog posts have been lost. I apologize to those who have contributed up until now, but quite frankly, the majority of you have not been commenting (which is fine, don’t feel like you need to). For those of you who DO want to leave comments and engage in discussion, the new system should work well. Just click on “Comments” at the bottom of each new post, then proceed to use the Disqus interface.
Thanks for all the patience as I make changes to the site to increase the usability, enjoyability, and interactivity of Team Jetpack 104. DERP!
EDIT: Thanks again to @jaruzek! Comments are currently being moved from WordPress to Disqus. Old comments should be there soon.
